Take That In Your Town: Dublin

Take That’s next gig is in Dublin on Saturday, and you’ve been busy suggesting activities for them to do in the forum. Here are a few of the things you’ve been saying…

I could recommend the Viking Splash tour. You travel on an old world war II truck type thing that travels on land and water so be prepared! It’s lots of fun and takes in a lot of major sights like Trinity College, Christchurch and St Patricks Cathedrals, the Grand Canal, Docklands.

the Guinness Storehouse is a must! The building is modelled on a huge pint glass and as you go up each floor you will learn the history of Guinness and if you manage to make it to the top to where the Gravity Bar is, you’ll receive a complimentary Guinness! It’s also the company’s 250th year, so there are various special attractions on to celebrate.

There’s a pub called ‘The Merry Ploughboy Irish Music Pub’. The pub owners call themselves ‘The Merry Ploughboys’ and they do a nightly traditional Irish music and dancing show. They perform original or well-known Irish songs and they also have Irish dancers as well.
I’m sure that the locals would be pleased to see Take That turn up for a sing-along with them!

Visit the guiness factory, go to Temple bar and drink loads of the black stuff!!

I think they should take the open top bus tour of Dublin and do an impromptu gig on top of the bus when they’re parked at traffic lights!!!

We’re now looking for suggestions of what the guys should do when they hit Cardiff. Post your suggestions in the forum or the Comments section below.

I was at the Dublin concert! It seems so long ago now but I’m still buzzing!
I hope the Take That boys had fun in the Emerald Isle and I hope it’s not too long before they are back!
I’m only 16 so I’ve only recently discovered the wonder of Take That!
My mum is, and always has been, in love with Gary Barlow but Howard is the one for me!
My two fave bits were Mark’s trousers splitting (so cute) and singing “Fields of Athenry”
Well done boys for a great show and you can add another fan to the very long list of fans after that show!
I also want to say “Congratulations” to The Script for being wonderfully Irish! They done themselves proud and I’m sure it was as emotional for their fans (me being one) as it was for them to be back in Dublin!
Also well done to Gary Go who I think did really well at getting the crowd going!
    Well done to everyone!

Well done guys – the Concert was absolutely super. It was such a show and great value for money – not just 4 guys singing as some concerts are!!! The Circus theme was really brillant and you were all so good & look in great shape. I loved all the songs and was hoarse the next day from shouting!!! Rule the World was a great end to the show and the amazing fireworks – please come back to Dublin again soon and play Croker again as this was a fantastic venue for you guys – not many acts can pull off Croker but you guys nailed it!! Well Done xx
