Progress Live 2011: New UK Dates

Tour update Dec 10, 12:30pm - London & Manchester dates are now SOLD OUT.

The biggest selling tour in UK history just got bigger as Take That add four brand new dates to their record-breaking Progress Live 2011 UK Tour, Presented by Samsung.

Due to extraordinary demand, Take That today added four brand new dates to their Progress Live 2011 tour:

Friday 27 May 2011   Sunderland Stadium Of Light

Saturday 28 May 2011 Sunderland Stadium Of Light

Sunday 12 June 2011 Manchester Manchester City Stadium

Monday 4 July 2011   London Wembley Stadium

Tickets for all four new dates go on sale at 10am on Friday 10 December.

In order to accommodate an extra date at Wembley, it has been necessary to reschedule the planned show on Sunday 3rd July for Thursday 30th June. The promoters apologise for the inconvenience this may cause but tickets remain valid for customers who have already bought them for Sunday 3rd July. Anyone who cannot make the rescheduled date is eligible for a full refund from their point of purchase.

The band commented, "We are really sorry to have to move the dates in London but we'd heard that there was a lot of disappointment from those not being able get tickets and this was the only way that we could fit in another show. We hope everyone understands and look forward to seeing you all next year."

The extra date added at London's Wembley Stadium see's Take That break another record by becoming the only act ever to play eight dates at the Stadium, a previous record held by Michael Jackson who played seven nights on his 1988 Bad World Tour.

The new dates announced today will be the final dates added to the tour schedule.

Im probably going to upset a few people now but I went last night to the Manchester city stadium -allocated seating side view - maybe not my chosen seats but still good - what a fantastic night definitely worth going -and I only booked my tickets last Wednesday they cost me £21 each unbelievable -considering others payed between £40&£50 each just a little futher over and all because they filled an extra block to film the DVD. The only bit we couldn't see was the main screen but we had side screens, good views of both stages and an added bonus of seeing the boys waiting back stage.

Selling tickets on E-bay should be stopped, disappointed that having paid 200% of face value and booked hotel and travel for my daughter , Take that "Move" the goal posts and reschedule a concert. You are simply penalising those who have already paid over the odds to see you in favour of additional profits from another concert,. Why should one fans satisfaction (having already purchased a ticket) be out weigh another having opportunity to purchase. . ???

Thanks Take That, this has left a very bitter taste..... not the attitude I expected of you , pity.

I understand that many people will be disappointed with the changed date but surly if you are willing to pay over the odds for the tickets then I would assume you really wanted to see the boys not matter what. Therefore inconvenience of the changed date should not effect your dedication to the boys. They have done there best to ensure that those with tickets can get a refund or use the tickets for the alternative date. I am also sure that this is not a decision made by the boys themselves and something that has been done by the management company in negotiating extra dates at all venues.

I still cannot believe that there has been no further response to the date changes despite loads of people saying they are now unable to go to the new date - shame on you take that for completely ignoring your fans' needs.......

I tried really hard, but couldn't change my plans from 3rd July to 30th June. So yes, I had two tickets, but not the one I'd paid for. I've had to get a refund from the ticket agency (Gigantic who were really good).

Yes, I could have sold them on ebay for a massive profit, but that would not have been right and I've tried to do the decent thing so another fan can get them at a reasonable price.

This has all left a very bitter taste.

Agree with the other comments-due to rescheduling now will have to book holiday to come to the gig and as had arranged to take someone as a surprise will have to some how get them to take time off work as well-very inconsiderate of you-we book tickets on the day we choose for a reason-you could have at least changed the date to another Sunday.

I don't understand why instead of having Monday as a new date, they couldn't just make the new date Thursday 30th and leave the Sunday 3rd as it was!!!

Is anyone going to provide some answers for the thousands of people who are now out of pocket and really angry??????

So Jennifer, you've got tickets for Germany. Well done. I assume you've already booked flights (early to get cheap rates) and accommodation. If you work, you've probably also booked holiday time. If you've got kids, you've made arrangements for them.

Now lets see how you feel if - out of the blue - they cancel the date and change it to some other random date.

There's nobody now available to take the kids on the new date, work won't let you take the time off, you can't get a refund on the flight. I bet would wouldn't too happy.

SELL THEM THEN somebody who is a true fan will buy them

What a bunch of whingers you all are. At least you got tickets! You have been inconvenienced that's all. I couldn't get a ticket for Glasgow so I'm going to Germany to see them. It's costing twice as much but am I whining about it? You'll get your money back if you can't go. Also if you all think that performers can do date after date after date then you're all mad. They're human beings not machines and need a break after 3 days. Jeez some people are so self centred.

I understand that this situation is not ideal but Take That have done nothing but try to accommodate as many people as possible and have expressed how sorry they are. Many fans still dont have tickets, yet you are all unhappy with the amazing opportunities you have to see Take That, i have been trying for months to get my hands on some tickets for my 18th birthday and am still not successful, i will probably have to wait until the next tour or pay through the nose else where :( !!
