Take a look at what the press have been saying about Take That's
brand new album...
As you know by now, Take That made history this week, as
Progress became the fastest selling album of the century, selling
nearly 520,000 in it's first week on sale.
The press have continued to post a selection of outstanding
reviews off and online, which we'd like to share with you
all.
Praise for Take That's first album as a five-piece for 15 years
has been all over the net, with The Guardian online awarding the album four stars
out of five and the Sunday Times Culture describing it 'as close to
being perfect as makes no odds', 'sonically audacious, lyrically
revealing, artistically a triumph' and 'in a word, wow'.
The Independent are equally impressed with the
band's new sound, explaining that 'rather than pop balladry, the
album leans heavily on electronic beats and textures'.
The BBC describes the tracks as a combination
of 'bombastic stadium rock, sleazy funk, up-tempo RnB, operatic
techno, Bowie-esque whimsy and demented disco', which they call the
'most exciting record its creators have ever been involved
in'.
At what marks a brand new chapter for the band, Progress has had
everyone talking.
